This link deserves it’s own post. This person counted down every single Beatles song from worst to best. Truly gutsy.
And so wrong! Dear Prudence at #11!? All you need is love at #6? She’s Leaving Home at #3? Are you insane? Of course a friend says that Tomorrow Never Knows should be at #1, so I’m obviously never talking to him again.
(The consolidated list is here.)
Becca: I Will? Seriously?
Matt: To clarify, Dear Prudence sucks. She’s Leaving Home sucks. Tomorrow Never Knows is merely bad. None of these should be in the top 100.
I’m not sure I understand what you are saying, Mutt. You post this list, and yet take no stand as to what you believe should be in the top 10, for instance, or even your favorite Beatles songs. You say you don’t like Dear Prudence at #11, but you don’t say if it should go up or down in your estimation. Discerning audience members need to know — take a stand, man! 🙂
*big fan of “I Will,” not bit — gah, typos
Wow, that is gutsy. I wouldn’t even try to do that myself, although I do take issue with some of those rankings. I’m a bit fan of “I Will” — so simple, so beautiful — but I don’t think I could ever say, definitively, which Beatles song is #1.
(BTW, you think your “Tomorrow Never Knows” friend is bad… My dear fiancé occasionally pronounces that the Beatles “suck,” at which point I tell him to shut the hell up if he wants to stay engaged. Needless to say, I am not dating the man for his musical taste.)
